Terms & Conditions - the basics

 

1. About the Event & Charitable Purpose

1.1 All profits from ticket sales are donated to Veterinarians Without Borders, a registered charity (Charity No. 84146 9547).

2. Ticket Purchase & Use

2.1 Tickets are issued subject to these Terms and any venue rules.

2.2 A valid ticket permits entry for one person to the Event on the date, time, and location stated. Entry requirements:

• Minimum age: 16+

• Formal wear dress code applies.

• ID checks may be carried out.

2.3 We may refuse entry or remove any guest for safety, security, intoxication, disruptive behaviour, offensive conduct, or non‑compliance with these Terms or venue policies.

3. No Refund Policy (Except Organizer Cancellation/Suspension)

3.1 All sales are final. No refunds will be provided once a ticket is purchased, except as set out in Clause 5 (Organizer Cancellation/Suspension).

4. Transfers & Resale

4.1 Ticket transfers to another named guest may be permitted until 01/03/2026, subject to verification. Contact info@nickscharitydinner.co.uk to request a name change.

4.2 Unauthorized resale or advertising tickets for resale at above face value is prohibited. We may cancel tickets resold in breach of this policy without refund.

5. Organizer Right to Cancel or Suspend Tickets

5.1 We reserve the right to cancel the Event or suspend/cancel any ticket for any reason, including venue issues, safety concerns, force majeure, suspected fraud, or breach of these Terms.

5.2 Refunds in this Clause only: If we cancel the Event or cancel/suspend your ticket for reasons not arising from your breach, we will provide a refund of the ticket price paid. No additional compensation will be provided.

6. Liability & Assumption of Risk

6.1 You attend at your own risk. To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, the Organizer, its officers, employees, volunteers, agents, and partners do not accept liability for injury, illness, loss, or damage to you or your property arising from attendance at the Event, except where caused by our gross negligence or willful misconduct.

6.2 You are responsible for your personal belongings. We are not liable for lost or stolen items.

7. Event Changes

7.1 We may make reasonable changes to the Event program, schedule, performers/speakers, seating layout, catering, or activities.

7.2 Changes do not entitle you to a refund unless expressly stated in Clause 5 or required by law.

8. Photography & Media

8.1 The Event may be photographed or filmed. By attending, you consent to the use of your image, likeness, and voice in Event materials and promotions (including digital and social media), without compensation.

9. Data Protection & Privacy

9.1 We process personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy: [insert link].

10. Force Majeure

10.1 We are not responsible for failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., extreme weather, power failure, strike, epidemic/pandemic, governmental action, terrorism, or venue closure).

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

11.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
